The high absorption of water and hemoglobin by diode laser with wavelength of 980 nm is adopted for the treatment of lower limb varicose veins(EVLT). Through puncture into the blood vessels, the high-energy laser is introduced into the veins to accurately damage the inner wall of the blood vessels, and the veins will undergo fibrosis and then achieve the purpose of blood vessel closure, so as to eliminate the varicose bulge blood vessels and achieve the therapeutic effect.The absorption rate of oxygenated hemoglobin at the wavelength of 980nm is 2 times higher than that at 810nm, so the thermal damage at the wavelength of 980nm is less and the coagulation effect is better. Diode laser treatment is addapt to puncture needles, so it is a minimally invasive solution with less postoperative discomfort and faster recovery of patients.
